Visitors and volunteers have always played a vital role in MHFC. They help care for our children, provide critical construction, maintenance and supplies assistance, maintain the grounds and common areas, help prepare meals and clean the kitchen and dining room, participate in daily devotions, community evangelism and outreach, and bring medical aid. They have touched countless lives with compassion and have given faithfully and generously over the years. There are many different ways to serve and give, but God has brought each one to MHFC.
One primary requirement for serving on a mission field is to have a servant’s heart. Whether you serve for a few days or many years, you are a missionary when you come our children home, and being a missionary also means you must...
be willing to submit to one another
be able to work without recognition
be able to take directions
and...a sense of humor helps!
We request all visitors – whether short-term or long-term – to register or apply through our US office. Once you visit … you will never be the same.
Opportunities to Serve
Some groups come year after year; for others it is the first time they come face to face with poverty, orphaned children, community evangelism and the power of the Holy Spirit at work. Individuals or groups who plan to visit our Home for 10 days or less are welcome!
Approval is dependent on availability of housing and completion of the registration process.
If you are interested in serving for more than 10 days, you would be considered a long-term missionary. Acceptance is contingent upon our receipt of a completed application with full references, available housing and current staffing needs.
To inquire about short or long term service, please fill out the Form below or contact our office and request a Visitor Registration Form to start the application process.
Reservations are required and may be made up to a year in advance.
Please do not make plans to go to the Home until the application review has been completed and you have been notified of acceptance.
Thank you for your interest in serving!
